Misconfigurations

Open Misconfigurations from the sidebar to review configuration issues in your AWS environment. The page is titled Security, and individual check results appear under Vulnerabilities.

Find an issue​

Use Overview for summaries, Vulnerabilities for individual issues, and Rules to explore security checks. The Internet Exposed, Data Protection, and IAM views help you focus on a specific security area.

Search or filter the relevant list by account, region, severity, and the other available controls. Select an issue to open its preview, then choose View Full Details.

Review the details​

The full page shows the check, affected resource, available remediation guidance, compliance mappings, and activity dates. Follow the resource link to inspect other issues affecting the same resource.

For software-package CVEs, use Runtime Protection.

Decide what to do next​

  • Choose Create Task to track the work, set its priority, and assign it where available. Use an existing linked task if one already exists.
  • Use Accept Risk to document an approved risk exception.
  • For an EC2 issue, open Attack Paths to investigate connected resources.

After your team changes the AWS configuration, review the next collected result to confirm the issue's status.
