Tasks

Use Tasks to organize investigations and security work, assign responsibility, and follow progress.

Create a task

Create a task from a misconfiguration or runtime finding to keep the issue linked to the work. For a general security activity, choose New Task on the Tasks page.

Add a name and description, choose Low, Medium, High, or Critical priority, and set an assignee and due date as needed. When an issue already has a linked task, use that task to avoid duplicate work.

Follow progress

  • Use Overview for open, in-progress, resolved, and overdue work summaries.
  • Use List to search tasks and filter by status, priority, or assignee.
  • Open a task's edit action to update its details.
  • Move work through Open → In Progress → Resolved by updating its status.

Deleting a task requires confirmation.

Work with Jira

When Jira is configured, the issue-to-task workflow can create a corresponding ticket. Use the linked ticket to coordinate work with your team.

Resolving a task records completion of the work item. Return to the security finding after collection to confirm that the underlying issue is resolved.
